Website design for private practice therapists

Therapy websites built around how your practice works.

TherapyBuilt plans, writes, designs, and launches therapy practice websites with the structure you need from the start: services, specialties, clinician profiles, fees, FAQs, telehealth, forms, articles, inquiry flow, and local SEO. You get a professional website without having to manage the tech.

Who it is for

Built for therapists who want a better website without becoming website people.

TherapyBuilt is for clinicians who need a calm, professional, search-friendly website that explains the practice clearly and helps the right people take the next step.

Best fit for:
  • Solo private practice therapists
  • Small and growing group practices
  • LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, psychologists, and counselors
  • Clinicians leaving agency work and starting private practice
  • Practices that outgrew a basic website or directory profile
The gap

Most therapist websites look nice, but they do not explain the practice clearly enough to convert.

Prospective clients are deciding quickly whether they feel understood, whether you offer what they need, and whether reaching out feels easy. Your website has to answer those questions fast while also giving Google a clear picture of your services, location, and specialties.

Generic website build
  • Starts from a blank template and asks you to figure out what pages belong on it
  • Treats therapy services like ordinary product or service pages
  • Leaves fees, FAQs, telehealth, forms, and expectations as afterthoughts
  • Makes small updates feel like a developer task
  • Focuses on appearance more than client clarity and local search structure
TherapyBuilt system
  • Starts with the structure a private practice actually needs
  • Organizes services, specialties, clinician profiles, fees, forms, FAQs, and resources
  • Guides visitors from first impression to inquiry or appointment link
  • Includes a practice dashboard for everyday site updates
  • Builds in therapy website design, therapist SEO, and practice-aware copy strategy
What is included

Everything a therapy practice website needs, already structured.

You are not starting from a blank page. TherapyBuilt starts with the core pieces private practices usually need, then customizes the design, copy, service pages, clinician profiles, and SEO structure around your actual practice.

Practice Dashboard
A simple control center for homepage messaging, services, clinicians, fees, FAQs, resources, forms, style settings, and more.
Services & Specialties
Search-friendly pages for the concerns you treat, modalities you use, and populations your practice serves.
Clinician Profiles
Provider pages with photos, credentials, specialties, approach, availability, and profile structure that builds trust.
Inquiry Flow
Clear calls to action, contact flow, appointment buttons, and inquiry handling designed to reduce friction.
Fees & Practice Details
Rates, payment details, insurance notes, hours, location, and telehealth details presented clearly.
Client Trust Pages
What to expect, FAQs, privacy policy, terms, telehealth information, forms, and client portal links already accounted for.
Resources & SEO Content
A resources/blog area for helpful articles that support trust, local visibility, and therapist-specific content strategy.
Style & Layout Controls
Color, navigation, homepage sections, announcement bars, and appointment buttons can be adjusted without rebuilding the site.
Built to be managed

You do not have to manage the tech, but your site should still be easy to manage.

Each TherapyBuilt site includes a practice website dashboard that organizes the important parts of your site into plain-language sections: homepage, services, clinicians, what to expect, fees, FAQs, resources, forms, telehealth, legal pages, colors, navigation, and appointment flow.

You can use the dashboard for simple updates, or I can handle ongoing changes for you. The goal is not to hand you another tool to figure out. It is to give your website a clean structure behind the scenes so it can grow without becoming messy.

When a clinician joins or leaves

Staff changes happen constantly in group practices. Your site should reflect your team as it actually is, not who was on it six months ago.

When your practice details change

Outdated practice information erodes trust before someone ever calls. Keeping your rates, availability, services, and location details accurate is one of the highest-impact things your site can do.

When you add a specialty or service

A new specialty page targeting the right search terms can help attract more of the prospective clients your practice is best built to serve.

The quarterly call

Once every three months we talk for 30 minutes about what is working, what changed, and what the website should do next.

Common questions

Things therapists usually ask me.

If something isn’t covered here, just reach out. There are no dumb questions.

Do I need to know anything about websites or tech?

Not at all. That is my job. You focus on telling me about your practice, your clients, your approach, and what matters to you. I handle the structure, writing, design, and launch. After launch, I walk you through simple updates in plain language.

Will I be locked into a platform or monthly fees?

No. You own your site outright, including the code, the content, everything. It runs on WordPress on your own hosting (typically around $10–15/month). I offer optional maintenance packages, but they’re never required. You can take your site anywhere.

How long does the process take?

Most projects are complete within 3–4 weeks from the kickoff call. The timeline depends on how quickly content and feedback comes back, but I’m not going to disappear on you. You’ll hear from me regularly throughout.

What do I need to provide?

A headshot if you have one, the basics about your practice, your specialties, your location, your services, and your honest reactions to drafts. I do the writing and design. You just make sure it sounds like you.

How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?

Templates are built for everyone, which means they are built for no one in particular. TherapyBuilt is built specifically for therapy practices, including the page structure, service language, clinician profiles, inquiry flow, and local SEO foundation a private practice website needs.

What if I already have a site and just want it improved?

That’s worth a conversation. Depending on what you have, it may make more sense to redesign than to patch. Send me a link and I’ll give you an honest read on it, no sales pitch.

About

Built with web strategy and practice awareness.

TherapyBuilt exists because therapist websites need more than attractive design. They need the right structure, the right language, and a clear way to manage the information a real practice depends on.

I build websites first, and my MSW training helps me better understand the communication, trust, ethics, and client journey that make therapy websites different from ordinary small-business sites.

You will not spend our call explaining why therapy websites are different. The system already starts there, then we build around your practice.
